Have you ever come home to find your side gate opened and Fido is nowhere in sight? Your heart starts pounding and your brain is thinking he is out on the street…lost or worse. I’ve lived in Canyon Hills for four years now. I’ve found more lost dogs than my husband cares to count. My garage is a halfway house for these runaway pooches. Nine times out of ten, these dogs do not have tags or correct information on their tags. My challenge is to reunite these fugitives with their family. I post signs, send out emails and walk the neighborhood trying to find Fido’s home. I’m one of many caring neighbors who do this.

In working with Neighborhood Watch we came up with the idea of Pet Watch. Pet Watch will track Canyon Hills pets through a centralized database with demographics and pictures. We will enlist the help of Canyon Hills neighbors to report lost or found pets via telephone and email. Our goal is to get Fido home without drama.
